INT. HALL WAY EXCIT OF STADUIM. NIGHT
A cheering crowd can be heard as Tia, Lupe, Flaco, and Pequeno come triumphantly walking off from the wring. Once in the alcove and out of sight of the cheering crowds they fall into an exhausted slump, clutching at their wounds.
PEQUENO
That was rough, but we got-em
Tia gives a Pequeno a forced smile, then looks away.
Lupe, looking back at the wring and turned over ladder.
                   LUPE
          Thanks Pequeno
FLACO
We sure did, they’re going to feel a lot worse than us tomorrow. I bet that one freaky dude won’t be able to even remember his name, good work every body.
The two brothers high five, and then wince form the pain.
Flaco’s stomach growls.
Flaco looks at Pequeno and they both laugh.
PEQUENO
Sounds like more than just your arm hurts. A good match did always make you hungry, you thinking what I’m thinking bro?
FLACO/PEQUENO (together)
          The restaurant down the road!
FLACO
Oh yeah brother, time to get our victory meal on! You girls in? Nothing brings out the flavor of a meal better than a sweet victory.
Tia heads on down the hall way in to the locker room.
          TIA
I’ll catch up, why don’t you all go get a table before it gets packed.
Lupe heads down the hall way after Tia.
                   LUPE
Yeah, that’s a good idea, we’ll see you there.
Flaco and Pequeno are left alone in the alcove.
                   FLACO
Wonder what’s that was about?
          PEQUENO
Chicks dude, chicks.
INT. LOCKER ROOM. NIGHT
A battered and worn Tia and Lupe trudge into the locker room
Tia walks over to the bench and slumps down, stretching out her feet.
Lupe crossing to her locker trips over Tia’s foot and stumbles.
Tia leaps up with cat like reflexes and catches Lupe from falling.
Tia steps back and tries to act tough.
                   TIA
Why don’t you watch were you’re going!
                   LUPE
Sorry, it was accident, just forget about it.
Lupe turns around to open her locker in a sigh of frustration.
She reaches for the locker door but winces in pain when she reaches for the latch.
Tia gets a smirk on her face and is about to say something antagonistic, but then sighs herself.
TIA
Sorry, it was my fault, it was an accident.
Lupe turns back around to face Tia, in astonishment of the apology.
Lupe
 It’s ok… I know… Don’t worry about it.
TIA
You know you were really good out there. You saved me, if you hadn’t caught me on the ladder I would have been out cold. Are you ok?
Lupe stops nursing her shoulder shocked at the compliment Tia just gave her.
LUPE
I’m fine, just a little sore. It’s just, I remember a Tia that would have let me fall. I guess we’re even now.
Lupe gives Tia a smile.
Tia looks down, ashamed of the way she’s treated Lupe in the past.
TIA
That was before we were a team. Before I knew what a good wrestler and teammate you could be…before I knew what a good friend you could be. I used to think I didn’t need anyone, that I was better than everyone else, but I was wrong. I’ve been so wrong, about everything, I’m sorry. I’ve been such a jerk and saying you’ve been stealing my moves, and thinking that you guys were second tier to me. I almost lost the match for us, because of my own stupid pride.
Tia punches one of the lockers behind her.
LUPE
But we also won because you’ve always been the best wrestler, or at least in my mind you were. I used to want to be just like you, strong, confident, and quick to act, but every time I thought I was on your level, you shut me right down.
                   TIA
Well I’m not the best, I still have a lot to learn, you showed me that today. We won because I stopped trying to do it all on my own, and started working as part of the team for once. We did some real damage to that team, something I couldn’t have done own my own.
          LUPE
I guess we do make better teammates than rivals. I sure like helping you lay down the smack down rather than getting smacked down myself.
The girls both let out a laugh
                   TIA
You never gave me an easy win, that’s probably why I like my matches against you so much, you always came back twice as good as the last time.
          LUPE
Well I learned at least five new moves you used on me the match before, and I would have to train for hours just to figure out how you pulled them off, let alone come up with a counter for it.
Tia and Lupe let out another laugh
TIA
I did notice you being able to avoid those deadbolt head locks of mine.
          LUPE
That was because I got tired of smelling your stinky pits all the time.
Tia looks offended but then burst out laughing, Lupe joins in, and the tension between the two is lifted.
                   TIA
And just so you know, you’re just as good wrestler as I am, and I’m proud to call you my teammate.
          Lupe
Thanks Tia, I’m proud to call you my friend.
Tia and Lupe hug for the first time.
                   Tia
Let’s go see if Flaco and P got that table, I’m ready for my victory meal.
Tia and Lupe head out of the locker room to go meet up with the guys.
